Expressionist oil landscape by the Swedish painter Arne Aspelin (1911-1990). It was painted by the artist in the 1960s. The painting was signed by hand in the lower right corner. Made in oil technique on panel. In an original period setting. Stig Arne Ragnar Aspelin, born May 28, 1911, died September 8, 1990, was a Swedish painter and graphic artist. Aspelin began working as an advertising illustrator and professional lithographer before enrolling in art studies at the Skåne School of Painting in Malmö. He made his debut at an exhibition with the Skåne art association in 1935, and then regularly participated in the association's autumn exhibitions and various collective exhibitions in the countryside. He exhibited with Gustaf Sjöö at Färg och Form in Stockholm in 1938 and with Gunnar Ekdahl at Ystad in 1948. Aspelin is represented at the Malmö Museum and the Ystad Art Museum. Reference : 255841
