Vintage flat desk in wood and leather by Jansen, 1950

Rare and superb neoclassical flat desk of Louis XVI inspiration in black varnished mahogany and cognac leather stamped Maison Jansen dating from the 50s. Fine wooden legs with brass hooves, black varnished, stylish chic of Louis XVI inspiration, all the typical attributes of the neoclassical style of Maison Jansen are present. Very beautiful ornamentation of chased and gilded bronze, blackened wood lingotiere, this desk opens with three drawers in the belt. The top is covered with original cognac leather and has a very nice patina. This desk has been entirely restored and re-varnished, bronze cleaned, and is in superb condition. A rare piece, timeless and of a superb quality of manufacture. Reference : 248040
