Vintage ceiling lamp fixture T 771/360 by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for H-A Jakobsson Ab, Sweden 1960s

Ceiling light fixture T 771/360 is a rare and very eye-catching light by Swedish light master Hans-Agne Jakobsson in Markaryd. The top cone is attached directly to the ceiling and behind the golden metal band along the centre is a double light socket attachment. The bottom glare protection grid is plastic covered in silver high gloss lacquer. Good condition with a few minor scratches. It takes two standard E27 light bulbs. Hans-Agne Jakobsson was undeniably one of the world’s most versatile and productive lighting designers and manufacturers in the fifties, sixties and seventies. He was also one of the best and most important designers in the Scandinavian era of golden and soft non-dazzle light. His earlier designs follow Scandinavian giants such as Poul Henningsen, Paavo Tynell and Alvar Aalto and he should be seen as important as the concurrent world renowned Nordic lighting designers Greta Magnusson-Grossman, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Verner Panton and Jo Hammerborg.
