Vintage Scandinavian table by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold, Denmark 1960

Scandinavian teak table by designer Arne Hovmand-Olsen for the publisher Mogens Kold in Denmark in the 60's.Stamped Danish furniture label under the table.At first glance, this table seems simple and minimalist. Closer up, one appreciates the details: The tabletop with its gentle curves and slightly sloping compass legs and the soft crossbars give it an organic shape.Less diffused than the Johannes Andersen table which has some similarities. The two independent extensions of 45 cm each hidden under the tabletop allow to accommodate 8 to 10 people.The extensions follow the veining of the teak of the main tabletop.The finishes are really of quality. The top has been restored according to the rules of the art and has undergone a treatment with hard oil.the extensions remain in their original varnish. One of the extensions has a slight lightening (visible on the photos).The whole remains in a very good vintage condition.
