Vintage "La Basilica" dining table by Mario Bellini for Cassina, Italy 1980s

An eye-catching dining table designed by Mario Bellini, manufactured by Cassina in Italy around 1980. This beautiful piece, model “La Basilica”, has a very straight forward design. The rectangular shaped base and top of the table are all made in a beautiful quality, light coloured wood. It has a minimalist style, yet it’s clearly made with an impressive eye for detail and a wonderful quality finish. The three legs on both ends of the table are a unique, appealing touch to this iconic piece of Italian design! Part of a series that focuses on the primary functions of furniture, the linear design of this piece was ahead of it’s time.
