About this vintage design furniture
This beautiful Danish wall unit/bookcase was designed by Johannes Sorth for Nexo in 1968. The manufacturer's series and date are confirmed by stamps on the back. It is a marvelous example of high-quality Danish mid-century carpentry combined with elegance and functionalism. The bookcase consists of two adjustable shelves, a cabinet with sliding doors, and also a secretaire with a pull-out desk with several small compartments and three small drawers hidden behind tambour doors. This piece of furniture can help one create a discreet space for a home office while ensuring just enough place for storage, books, and decorations. The unit stands on a solid teak base. The rest is made out of teak veneer with solid teak accents. Overall is in excellent original vintage condition with minor traces of use as light sun discoloration on the shelf line.
