About this vintage design furniture

This Model 53 armchair was first presented during the World Expo of 1958 in Brussels. It is created by Czech designer Jaroslav Smidek and manufactured by Ton in the 1950s. . The wooden frame is made from beech and the soft seating part comes in burgundy red fabric. The Czech design icon comes back to life with refinished wooden structure and fully reupholstered seating. Jaroslav Smidek is a Czech industrial designer born in 1988 in Prague. He studied at the University of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he graduated with a degree in industrial design in 2013.
