About this vintage design furniture
Original metal tray by Piero Fornasetti, Milano Italy. This is a first production from the 1950s called 'Cornucopia' (Horn of Plenty). It is marked on the back with its original label.
Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) is one of the most important Italian designers. He was also an artist, poet and decorator. Anything by his hand is highly sought-after. The tray is featured in the book: Fornasetti 'The Complete Universe' edited by Rizzoli New York, page: 532
Good vintage used condition. Restoration on two of the corners, see photographs.
