About this vintage design furniture
The Garden Egg chair (model name GN 01) was designed by the Hungarian emigrant Peter Ghyczy, who started his professional career as chief designer at the polyurethane factory "Elastogran GmbH" in Lemförde (West Germany). He was responsible for establishing the design department developing model polyurethane products. One of his first designs was the so-called "Garden Egg" chair from 1968. The design incorporates period features: space age appearance, UFO-like form, modern material, bright colors, portability and informal lounging quality.
The armchair has undergone a professional renovation. The pillow is new, the fabric is made of high-quality cotton.
