About this vintage design furniture
Chamois in blackened bronze by Walter Bosse for Herta Baller (Baller Austria mark present in hollow under the base. See photos and zoom). 50s. Austrian manufacture. Nice condition. Note that the black color has partially disappeared from places where it is normally present (on the sides, at the bottom of the hind legs and on a lower part of the base. See photos and zoom in) leaving the bronze visible on these areas. Total height of the buff 5,8 cm.

Walter Bosse was an Austrian designer born on June 27, 1904 in Vienna and died on July 7, 1979 in Iserlohn, Germany. He is best known for his designs for decorative objects in ceramics and metal, which enjoyed great success in the 1950s and 1960s.
