About this vintage design furniture

Wall-mounted coat rack with tubular structure, and triangular yoke in clover-perforated sheet metal, known as "rigitulle", red in color, receiving a triangular mirror as well (pitting to the glass). Upper hat rack. 4 ball pegs in red, green and yellow. Matégot, Mathieu (1910-2001) Born in Hungary, Matégot, furniture and interior designer, moved to France in 1931 and began his career as a decorator. At the end of the 1940s, after being held as a prisoner of war, he began designing furniture, favoring the use of perforated sheet metal ("rigitulle"), which can be folded and molded, to create armchairs, chairs and tables resting on a tubular workshop structure. In very good condition, note some period wear and pitting to the mirror. 73 x 40 x 25 cm
