A wonderful “Tone Ladder” coat rack designed by Coen de Vries, manufactured by Pilastro in the Netherlands around 1950. This nice, minimalist piece has s a black lacquered metal frame with a metal hat shelf and metal hooks in different colours. This gives the piece a colourful touch with a nice sense of elegance. It has a It can seamlessly fit in many different room and decors and is definitely an iconic piece of mid-century Dutch design It remains in good original condition, with some wear consistent with age and use, preserving a nice patina. It has some wear to the hat shelf, as shown in photos

Coen de Vries was a Dutch industrial designer, born in 1918 and died in 2004. He studied at the Amsterdam School of Arts and Crafts and worked for various design companies, including Gispen, Spectrum and Pilastro.
