About this vintage design furniture
Doo-Wop is a reproduction of the Søværnspendel lamp from the 1950s. The Doo-Wop lamp was introduced to the market in 1950 and was designed in close collaboration between the Naval Construction Department and Louis Poulsen. The lamp has been used for many years in Naval buildings for many different applications, such as catering and offices. It wasn’t until the early 1980s that the product was removed from Louis Poulsen’s catalogs. In recent years, more and more old editions have been resold through antique stores and auctions. This resulted in high demand and Louis Poulsen was asked to bring the products back to the market. The new version is very similar to the original. However, the colors have been updated to be more contemporary while the production methods are the same. The lamp is in average condition, signs of use in the form of scratches, bruises and lacquer defects. Dimensions: diameter: 28cm height: 24cm Please note that the items we sell are used items, often 40-50 years old, and therefore have traces of use that cannot always be captured in the photos.
