About this vintage design furniture
Hans KAUFELD editor Lounge chair and its ottoman in light brown leather of good thickness, the barrel-shaped backrest tilts thanks to a knob on the right side; the base is formed of two leather-covered slats, flaring out at the bottom and forming a Chinese-style slant to support the arm cushions. The ottoman takes up the principle of the flaring blade base, on which rests a cushion. The lining is signed Hans Kaufeld. Around 1970 1980. Slight wear and discoloration at the corners. About the designer
Hans KAUFELD
Hans Kaufeld was a German industrial designer who was born in 1932 and died in 2017. He studied at the Munich School of Applied Arts, where he was trained in ceramics, glass and porcelain.
