Hille Mid Century CredenzaA mid-century sideboard designed by Robin Day for Hille. Rarely seen, this sideboard has a blond oak carcass and sliding leather doors covered in cognac. Robin Day is Britain's most famous furniture designer. After winning the Museum of Modern Art's low-cost furniture competition in 1948, he has designed an exceptional and respected range of furniture in a career spanning more than 60 years. A keen understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, coupled with progressive design skills, has created landmarks in furniture design history. His polypropylene chairs are recognized as the best-selling chairs in the world. Robin Day's achievements are not limited to furniture. His industrial, exhibition, graphic and interior designs are highly respected for their individual flair and modernist sensibilities.
