About this vintage design furniture
The "Butterfly Chair", an iconic design of Dutch designer Gerard van den Berg, was manufactured in the early 1980s by Montis. This very comfortable chair features a black metal frame and a red leather seating. The inspiration of the designer came from making a hollow in the sand on the beach. Original condition.

Gerard VAN DER BERG
Gerrit (Gerard) Van Der Berg (1947-2011) was a Dutch designer known for his modern, functional furniture creations. He studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as an industrial designer at Gispen, a Dutch furniture company.
