About this vintage design furniture

Danish Mid-Century Modern table lamp by Nils Thorsson for Fog & Morup This table lamp was designed by Royal Copenhagen’s head designer for the BACA series, Nils Thorsson in the 1960s. The lamp was produced by Danish company Fog & Morup. The base is made of stoneware and features Thorssons famous pattern showing abstract patterns of birds and flowers in neutral shades of brown, beige, and white. The lamp is in very good condition with marks dating its production. The lamp bears full printed factory marks on the base, including Royal Copenhagen Denmark Fajance over Nils Thorsson’s artist cipher. Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Swedish-Danish ceramic artist, a prolific designer, and the Artistic Director of Royal Copenhagen. Thorsson’s work exemplifies midcentury Danish modernism; he designed the Baca production range in the 1960s.
