Stunning minimalist wall or ceiling light Model 232 designed by Bruno Gatta for Stilnovo, Italy 1954.The lamp consists of an ivory white lacquered shade, black enameled stem and ivory white wall mounting cap, supplied with the original black screws. The large ivory white shade diffuses a beautiful and soft light in the room. The lamp is in very good original condition. Checked and cleaned.Italian lighting manufacturer Stilnovo was founded by designer Bruno Gatta in 1946 in Lainate, an industrial suburb of Milan. After World War II, Italy was focused on reconstruction under conditions of scarcity. With Stilnovo, Bruno Gatta dedicated himself to the production of innovative lighting that embodied the rationalist principles of form and function.
