About this vintage design furniture

Reupholstered pair Gispen armchairs designed by W.H. Gispen in the fifties. These cantilever tubular chairs have a great sit-comfort because of it’s construction without legs on the back . The condition of these armchairs is again very good due to the new upholstery. The chrome tubular frames have been cleaned and polished, the wooden armrests have been sanded and waxed and the seat and back have been reupholstered with Birk28 fabric from De Ploeg (Dutch fabric with a very high wear resistance 20,000 Martindale). The frame has obvious signs of wear due to the chrome corresponding to it’s age. Dimensions: h x w x d 80 x 56 x 84 cm. The seat height is 44 cm. Source: Magazine Ons huis July 1958, page 1048 (see photo). The price is for the set.
