About this vintage design furniture
Adjustable Igloo desk lamp designed by Tommaso Cimini for Lumina Italia, 1980s. Tommaso Cimini is the founder of the Italian lighting company Lumina in 1980. His first known design was the freely adjustable table lamp “Daphine” one of the first halogen desk lamps for the Milan fair in 1975. In this lamp you see the same simplicity and flexibility as with the Daphine lamp. The condition of this black Igloo desk lamp is still very good and the wiring has been checked by an electrician, normal fitting E27220V75W. Also suitable for LED lamps. Dimensions (adjustable): h x w x d 64 x 23 x 48 cm. Marked: Lumina Italia, model Igloo, 75W.

About the designer
Tommaso CIMINI
Tommaso Cimini is an Italian designer born in Florence in 1947. He studied architecture at the University of Florence before turning to industrial design. In 1971, he joined the Italian company Artemide, where he worked closely with the famous designer Ettore Sottsass.
