Set of four dining chairs designed by Erling Torvits for Sorø Stolefabrik, Denmark. Circa 1960s. Beautiful organic sculpted backrests and clean lines. Sorø Stolefabrik AS was founded in 1904 in the Danish city of Sorø. The factory collaborated with several well-known designers as Erling Torvits who opted for quality and craftsmanship rather than mass production. This stunning set of teak chairs with leather or leatherette seats is in very good condition and is a good example of the quality and rare design of Erling Torvits. 50cm x 53cm x 79cm

Erling TORVITS
Erling Torvits was a Danish industrial designer born in 1931 and died in 1989. He studied sculpture and ceramics at the Copenhagen School of Fine Arts, before turning to industrial design.
