About this vintage design furniture
Two seat bench designed by designer and architect Georg Leowald (1908 -1969) in the 1960s for the German manufacturer Wilkhahn founded by Friedrich Hahne and Christian Wilkening in 1907. A rare model, this waiting bench has two seats in fiberglass. Thermo-molded, these seats are an intense orange color. Each shell rests on a star-shaped element attached to a brushed metal base. An iconic piece of furniture, this undeniably vintage bench with an ergonomic design will find its place in a bold and colorful interior. Period: 1960 Excellent condition. Minimal traces of use. Georg Leowald was a German designer who was born in Düsseldorf in 1924 and died in 2014. He studied industrial design at the Ulm School of Design in Germany, an institution renowned for its training in modern design.
