About this vintage design furniture
Curved bent ply stacking chairs designed by the architect Roland Rainer for the Vienna City Hall in Austria – 1956. Made from a birch ply seat on a black painted beech frame. All chairs have been checked and have new bolts. They came from a church in Rotterdam which was recently pulled down. Seat Height 43cm

Roland RAINER
Roland Rainer was an Austrian architect and designer who was born in 1910 and died in 2004. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and began his career working for the Austrian architect Clemens Holzmeister.
