About this vintage design furniture
Set of four Gispen 106 chairs with matching square canteen tabledining table (model 606-1) designed by W.H. Gispen for Gispen in 1940s. These stackable chairs and table are made for the T.U. Delft in the 1960s. Characteristic is the continuous metal tube above the backrest that can be used as a handle. Dimensions of the chairs: h x w x d 82 x 46 x 52 cm and the seat height is 47 cm. Table dimensions: h x w x d 75 x 80 x 80 cm. This set is still in good and original condition with normal traces of use and wear (see photos). Marked: TU Delft (see photo) and the date September 12, 1964. Source: book W.H. Gispen, André Koch, pages 170 and 171 and Gispen catalogue 1949, page 2.
