Vintage Kw-1 glass and travertine coffee table by Hank Kwint for Metaform, Netherlands 1980s

Impressive contemporary design by Hank Kwint for Metaform Netherlands. A design from the mid-80s that is yet to be recognized by the design world at large and therefore a potential future investment piece. The table stars a sophisticated design that evolves around the central black marble foot. The inox metal bars pass through the foot in a cross section pattern. The thick glass plate complements the look. The abstract lines of the frame really stand out through the glass plate. The table is in excellent and original condition with only some minor wear visible on the marble foot and metal frame. The glass plate below has a very small chip at the edge.
