Vintage porcelain teapot by Matteo Thun for Arzberg, Germany 1980
About this vintage design furniture
Matteo Thun was one of the co-founders of the Memphis Group in 1981. He has worked with many different companies such as Bieffeplast, Swatch and Tiffany. This porcelain teapot was designed for Arzberg, Germany, in the 1980s. Thun describes it as - New balances. Familiar coffee objects with geometric shapes and unusual proportions. - The design was part of the 1989 Milan Furniture Fair. An exhibition that emphasized the consumer's need for emotion, form and function. For this fair, the sugar bowl in this collection was built to an oversized scale. The teapot is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Marked Arzberg on the bottom.
