Timo Sarpaneva (1926-2006) was one of the greatest designers in Finland and partly responsible for the international reputation of Finnish design since the 1950s This large glass object from the 1960s has a predominantly uneven surface, so that the incidence of light and the light from the candle create great effects Minor irregularities and air pockets do not constitute defects. Timo SARPANEVA

Timo Sarpaneva was a Finnish designer famous for his work in glass and ceramics. Born in 1926 in Helsinki, Finland, he studied at the Helsinki School of Arts and Crafts and began working as a freelance designer in 1948.
