About this vintage design furniture
A nice free standing coat rack “model 20” designed by Soren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl, manufactured by Aksel Kjersgaard in Denmark around 1960. This elegant piece is made of high quality deep brown wood. It has a very nice style that will fit very well in a modern interior. The cylinder shaped base rests on a round foot and holds several curbed hangers and knobs. It’s these curved and rounded details that all add nicely to it’s unique and esthetic style The piece has a nice modern style with a sense of luxury thanks to the quality finish and material. As shown in photos, the manufacturer’s stamp is found underneath the base. It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
