Pair of vintage teak bookcases by Johannes Sorth, Denmark 1960
About this vintage design furniture
Two bookcases called "Bornholmen" in teak. The base and legs are solid as well as the edges of the furniture. Profile with tapered side up with 5 shelves, the central one is fixed, the other 4 removable, narrow at the top and deeper at the bottom. There is a hole in one of the bookcases, probably to run an electrical cable (to be filled on request). Good condition.

About the designer
Johannes SORTH
Johannes Sorth was a renowned Danish designer who was born in 1937 and died in 2017. He is best known for his work in industrial design, particularly for his elegant modern furniture designs. Sorth studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, graduating in 1963.
