About this vintage design furniture
Sofa model Costela, designed by Martin Eisler and Carlo Hauner in 1959, published by Forma, Brazil. Large slats of rosewood curved at the ends rest on a black lacquered tubular metal structure with arched seat supports finished with gilded brass tips. About the designer
Carlo Hauner
1927 - 1996Carlo Hauner was an Italian designer born in 1927 in Vienna, Austria, and died in 1997 in Pantelleria, Italy. After studying architecture at the University of Rome, Hauner began his career as a jewelry designer. In the 1950s, he worked with the Bulgari fashion house in Rome.
