About this vintage design furniture
The extraordinary viola d’amore in black leather with black wooden elements is in excellent condition. The leather is flawless, the wooden elements show minimal signs of wear. The armchair designed by Piero de Martini for Cassina in the 1970s is based on a tent construction and its shape is unique. Very comfortable armchair in generous dimensions. Cassina has been known for years for high-quality seating furniture in a unique design. The Italian manufacture signed 1964 the exclusive license agreement to work on the furniture designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand.

Mauro Martini is an Italian designer born in 1960 in Sondrio, a town in northern Italy. After studying architecture at Milan Polytechnic University, he began his career as a product designer for companies such as Artemide, Driade and Alessi.
