Set of 2 vases and a dish designed by ceramicist Ivan Weiss for Royal Copenhagen from the 1970s "Duet" series.Dimensions: Vase: H 23 cm x W 10.5 cm x D 7.5 cm Vase: H 19 cm x W 9.5 cm x D 6.5 cm Large plate or platter: H 3.5 cm x W 31 cm x D 29 cmIvan Weiss (b. 1946) is a Danish ceramicist based in Denmark. At the age of sixteen, he trained as an overglaze painter at the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory from 1962 to 1966. As an apprentice to art director Nils Thorsson, Ivan gained a great deal of knowledge in the field of ceramics. In the years 1970-72, Ivan studied ceramics in Hagi, Japan, where he learned to throw bowls and fire ceramics. Back in Denmark, he was re-employed as a ceramist at Royal Copenhagen, continuing his collaboration with Nils Thorsson and creating ceramics in a separate studio until 2004. Since then, Ivan has worked as a freelancer at Royal Copenhagen and as a guest lecturer at the Danish Design School.

Ivan WEISS
Ivan Weiss is an industrial and graphic designer born in 1936 in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). He studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, graduating in 1962.
