About this vintage design furniture
Pair of armchairs model 240-5 by Georg Leowald for Wilkhahn, German manufacturer. Design year 1967. "Space Age" style. White fiberglass shell with upholstered seat and backrest with royal blue weave fabric. Great comfort. Note that the fabric has two lighter traces on one of the two seats (see photo), otherwise the fabric is in good condition and the color is bright. Georg Leowald was a German designer who was born in Düsseldorf in 1924 and died in 2014. He studied industrial design at the Ulm School of Design in Germany, an institution renowned for its training in modern design.
