Amazing pair of Wassily armchair designed by Marcel Breuer in the 1920s when he was at the head of the Bauhaus.
This armchair was revolutionary for its time, as it was made of curved tubular steel and leather, inexpensive materials for the time.
The manufacturing method is also very ingenious and therefore easy to reproduce.
It was first mass-produced by Gavina in the 1940s and then by Knoll International in the 1990s.
This pair of armchairs are in very good vintage condition.
It has no damage or missing parts.
However, they do have some signs of wear due to age, but above all, it has a magnificent patina.
the 2 armchairs are both signed "Marcel Breuer" engraved in the leather, (on the pictures)
This engraving indicates that this is a Knoll International edition from the 1990s.
