About this vintage design furniture

Iconic creation of the 1950s by Georges Albert Ulysse Caruelle (1872-1953), this minimalist reading table has a telescopic metal star base. A system on a central shaft with a clamping screw regulates the height. One of the legs can be extended to reinforce the balance of the table when the large top is extended. This table has two superimposed walnut tops of different sizes: the large bowl-shaped top can be tilted and swivelled and covers a small fixed square top, also moulded. Perfect for small spaces, this system table with its innovative mechanism for the time, was edited by Embru in Switzerland. Ingenious and versatile, it can be used as a bedside table, side table, desk or game tray. Period : 1950 Very good condition. Can be shipped by Colissimo with adapted protection (Price : 50€) Dimensions : Maximum width: 83 cm Maximum height: 89 cm Depth: 64 cm ref. 608 S
