About this vintage design furniture
A unique desk chair designed by Paul Schuitema, manufactured by Fana in the Netherlands around 1950. The semi-floating structure of this chair is a typical innovation from mid-century Dutch design Made of chrome plated tubular metal, nicely bent into shape, with black armrests supports for some extra comfort. The seat and back are upholstered in the original brown fabric with a lovely subtle pattern. The seating cushion is nice and well-stuffed making it very comfortable. The semi-floating structure allows the chair to slightly move with the user, which also adds greatly to it’s comfort. It remains in good, vintage original condition with only minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
