About this vintage design furniture
This extremely rare model was jointly designed by Josef Hoffmann and Oswald Haerdtl for the 1930 Werkbund Exhibition in Vienna. Manufactured by Thonet Mundus, 1930s. Bentwood (beech), perforated black and white coated plywood seat and backrest. With Thonet factory stamp. In very good vintage condition. Height 75 cm, width 51 cm, depth 52 cm, height of seat 40.5 cm.

About the designer
Josef HOFFMANN
1870 - 1956Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956) was an Austrian designer and architect. He was born in Pirnitz in Moravia, now in the Czech Republic, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
