About this vintage design furniture
Nice little table or sellette by Mado Jolain, nice condition and nice patina of the ceramic. Interesting contrast between the 2 tiles typical of the artist's work and the other ones of bright red color. The height is 34 cm, the sides are 26 by 26 cm. The structure of this table was designed by René Legrand, painter, ceramist, decorator and husband of Mado Jolain

About the designer
Mado JOLAIN
Mado Jolain (1921-2010) was a French designer specializing in patterns for upholstery fabrics and wallpapers. She began her career in the 1940s working for brands such as Bianchini-Férier and Lauer, where she created patterns for silk and cotton fabrics.
