About this vintage design furniture
A small ‘Onfale’ table lamp designed in 1978 by Luciano Vistosi and manufactured by Artemide in Italy. The lamp consists of a tubular opaline glass base and a hand blown Murano glass lampshade with a clear glass rim. The unique charm of the ‘Onfale’ lamp lies in its resemblance to the shape of a mushroom. This lamp dates from the 1980’s and is in very good original condition.

About the designer
Gino VISTOSI
Gino Vistosi was an Italian designer who was born in 1931 and died in 2016. He was best known for his work in glassmaking and glassblowing, an artisan skill typical of Italy's Venice region. He began his career in the 1950s, working in the family glassmaking business, Vistosi, founded by his grandfather in 1921.
