Oscar Torlasco rare mod.577 desk lamp Prod. Lumi, Italia, 1960 ca. Structure in lacquered metal and brass. Glass lens. Square conical base in black lacquered brass, painted with pleated paint. Built-in transformer. Brass stem. Conical tubular shade in brass, partially painted black. Glass optical lens. Small chromium plated stem with decorative black round handle on top. Some metal parts. Bakelite E14 lampholder. Lens for adjusting the intensity and the lighted area. cm 8x23x39H Born in Rome, Italy, in 1934, Oscar Torlasco has designed many beautiful lamps. The most famous are those he designed for Lumi. In 1959, Torlasco won the Italian design award, the "Compasso d'Oro" (Golden Compass). Condition: good, consistent with age and use. Slight stain on the brass. In working condition.
