A set of six mid-century dining chairs. France, c1950s. Rush and wood with turned wooden legs in the manner of Charles Dudouyt. Generally good condition, some wear to the rushing commnensurate with age, particularly on two of the chairs (see photos). Dimensions: 48 W x 55 D x 45.5 Seat Height x 114.5 Total Height in cm. Charles Dudouyt (1885-1947) was a French designer and cabinetmaker active in the 1920s and 1930s. He is best known for his Art Deco furniture, characterized by clean lines, simple geometric shapes, quality materials and meticulous finishing.
