Description: This charming sideboard was designed and manufactured by the highly respected British manufacturer Alfred Cox in the mid-twentieth century. Alfred Cox was known for his quality handcrafted furniture in the middle of the last century and sold by Heals of London. This rarely seen teak sideboard offers ample storage space with two spacious cabinets and three drawers. Both elegant and functional, this beautiful piece would be a wonderful addition to any home. Item Number: Condition: We have carefully stripped this sideboard and refinished it with a coat of matte lacquer for a long lasting finish. We try to portray the condition of our items in our photographs as best we can. Before shipping, all items are carefully cleaned and re-coated with Danish oil to ensure that your item looks its best upon delivery. This item is in very good condition and has no defects. Alfred Cox was an English furniture designer who worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1912, Cox began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with his father before moving into furniture design in the 1930s.
