About this vintage design furniture
"Droppen" is a small decorative pendant light made from bent sheets of copper. In this version every other sheet is painted in matte brown. Each brown sheet have two perforations at the bottom where glass prisms are inserted to give a gem-stone light effect. The light projects a warm soft light downwards but is generally of decorative nature. These were popular to hang in windows or i the corner of a room together with plants or other decorative objects. Created by the Werner Schou in the mid 1960s when he was the head designer of the Danish light manufacturer Coronell Elektro. Nice condition with patinated brass sheet surface. No bends or damage. The copper can of course be polished up if one prefers a more shiny look. Standard E14 light bulb socket.
