Vintage sofa model 671 by Kho Liang Ie for Artifort Netherlands 1960s

A nice sofa designed by Kho Liang Ie, model 671, manufactured by Artifort in the Netherlands around 1968. This very modern piece is made of black laminated plywood, supporting the newly upholstered seat and back with comfortable cushions. The high quality dark grey fabric used for the upholstery complements the piece very well. This is a very recognizable piece of the Kho Liang Ie. It has no armrests, as the designer felt that armrests disrupted the aesthetics of a sofa. The minimalist and elegant design allows this comfortable piece to fit into many different decors. It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
