Vintage large cast iron candle holder with 12 candles by Jens Quistgaard 1960s

Charming cast iron candlestick and its set of 12 fine candles. Designed by Jens H. Quistgaard for Dansk International Designs, it was published during the 1950s and 1960s. Publisher's mark under the base. Still in its box. The candles are not in perfect condition, some have yellowed with the years. Dansk International Design was founded by the American Ted Nierenberg and his associate the Danish designer Jens Quistgaard in 1954. It was Quistgaard who designed the majority of Dansk products for 30 years. Candle height approx. 30 cm.
