About this vintage design furniture

The Tizio table lamp was designed by industrial designer Richard Sapper in 1972 for the iconic Italian company "Artemide". The structure is composed of fully adjustable balanced counterweights, no wires and electrically conductive arms. Object of the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Materials: Black painted aluminum arm and chrome steel spacer. Base in solid plastic. Richard SAPPER

1932 - 2015

Richard Sapper was a German industrial designer who was born in Munich in 1932 and died in Milan in 2015. After studying engineering in Munich, he worked for several design companies, including Mercedes-Benz and Siemens, before becoming an independent designer in the 1960s.
