Vintage brass and formica clock by JAZ 1970s
About this vintage design furniture
Tranchic Vintage wall clock in brushed metal brass and formica, made in France by the famous clock maker Jaz, produced between 1972 and 1976. The vintage design of the clock features a central white background, surrounded by a fantastic faux wood and brushed metal brass finish Polyrey facade. The design and shape also evokes a very modern, clean look. The clock has been tested and works perfectly. Model number 2356-80, with LR 14 electric battery movement, AX calibre, orange central second hand. New in the 1972-1973 catalogue, page 18. Body in formica laminate by Polyrey, domed gold metal bezel, center seconds hand...The Tranchic is not available anymore in 1977. Its name obviously comes from its highlighted edges on each side. Slight signs of wear and tear consistent with age and a slight mark on the upper part of the brass. Fully functional with a standard R14 battery (not included.) The back of the clock has a black button at the top right of the battery compartment to set the time.
