About this vintage design furniture
Leather easy chair called “The Rock” designed by Gerard van Den Berg for Montis in the seventies. This Dutch design classic owes its name “The Rock” to its shape. It is made of patchwork with high quality dark brown leather. It is still in good original condition. Some crackle in the leather on the seat, no cracks or holes. The leather has acquired a beautiful patina over the years. Dimensions: h x w x d 119 x 90 x 95 cm and the seat height is 34 cm.

Gerard VAN DER BERG
Gerrit (Gerard) Van Der Berg (1947-2011) was a Dutch designer known for his modern, functional furniture creations. He studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as an industrial designer at Gispen, a Dutch furniture company.
