About this vintage design furniture
Alfred Cox's Mid-Century Buffet An Alfred Cox sideboard with tapered legs and made of walnut. This object was made by a cabinetmaker with a large collection whose items were sold through Harrods, Heals and Maple & Co. Alfred Cox was a great post-war British furniture designer. He worked mainly with walnut and teak, designing and producing quality items of superb craftsmanship that are in great demand today. The sideboard is labelled by the manufacturer. Lots of storage space, deep drawers and the top drawer is lined with felt. All doors and drawers have brass pulls. Dimensions (cm) : 187 W x 48 D x 77 H Condition: Very good - minimal signs of age and use.

Alfred COX
Alfred Cox was an English furniture designer who worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1912, Cox began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with his father before moving into furniture design in the 1930s.
