About this vintage design furniture
Alfred Cox Mid Century Sideboard An Alfred Cox sideboard with curved legs and in a wonderfully detailed walnut. This item was made by a highly collectable cabinet maker. This sideboard would have been sold through either Harrods, Heals or Maple & Co. Alfred Cox was a great designer of post-war British furniture. He worked mainly with walnut and teak, designing and producing quality items of superb craftmanship that are much sought after today. The sideboard is labelled by the maker. Plenty of storage space, drawers with a cocktail storage. All the doors and drawers have brass pulls. English, 1960s. Dimensions (cm): 158 W x 49 D x 76 H Condition: Very good - This vintage item has no defects, normal usage marks are apparent.

Alfred Cox was an English furniture designer who worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1912, Cox began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with his father before moving into furniture design in the 1930s.
